PERFECT blog! Just what I needed :)Love this x
Many beauties! My boyfriend peeked over my shoulder when reading this post, haha! Thanks a lot - too bad we don't know who the last woman is, I loved that photo.
Louise Small- I immediately thought "I'm still big- it's the pictures that got small!" I have no idea why . . .
RICHARD FINEGAN said...Another nice group of pictures. Thanks for posting them. One problem: I do not believe the lady identified as Peggy Shannon is Peggy Shannon. First, I don't think she looks at all like Miss Shannon, and second, the still is from a movie that she does not appear in: "No Marriage Ties" (1933 - RKO Radio). The number on the still (675) matches that RKO Picture, and the letter code PS stands for "The Public Be Sold", one of the working titles for the movie. So, who is she really? I'm not sure. She doesn't look like Elizabeth Allan or Doris Kenyon, who co-star in the movie. Other ladies in the movie include Violet Knight and Jean Acker, but I'm not very familiar with either of them, and am not sure what they look like. Could be either of them.Does anyone else know?
After looking on line, it appears to be Elizabeth Allan. Thanks, Rich!
... and I'm sure you caught the part about the lovely Dorothy Jordan being from my current locale of Clarksville, TN ... Her photo hangs in our County Courts Complex near Clarksvillian Frank Sutton (from Gomer Pyle) and other way cool historic photos.
i love the stills from heaven only knows. what great costumes.
