You were right to put a link of yr blog on the Vitaphone website. great pictures of Joan Blondell, an actress I never get enough of.
When I was something like 15, I saw her sing My Forgotten Man and fell in love with her... (even if I would better be with Dick Powell...). A shame there is no real music record of her...
Thanks!
Thanks!! I have been trying to get the word out on this blog for a while so tell all your friends. I know the "El Brendel" name kinda turns a lot of people off, but I try to mix it up with photos of other stuff to keep it interesting.
Why? What's with El Brendel? Hope you do more "Sexy time Saturday" features.

P'taker,
Stay tuned. Will CERTAINLY have more "Sexy time" in the future!
I've wandered over here from Jeff Cohen's blog. While I'm principally a WB fan, the whole corporate intrigue mess that was Fox between 1929 and 1933 fascinates me. (I have some Fox theatre chain stock certificates.) Fox also built beautiful theatres, like the SF Fox (see "Farewell to the Fox" on YouTube).
You've been bookmarked! 30s popular culture is something I'm fond of.
Thanks for coming over! I try to post some WB stars here every once in a while. Check out the past posts on Joan Blondell and Glenda Farrell.
I also have some pictures to post in the future of Barbara Stanwyck, Guy Kibbee, Warren William and MANY more Joan Blondell.
I think the top image is of Marguerite Churchill (probably from SEVEN FACES, 1929), and not Sharon Lynn.
James, THANKS! I was never really confident that the woman was Sharon Lynn (as was written on the back), so thanks for clearing that up for me!
