El Brendel on TCM - alert!

That's right, kiddies! Tomorrow (June 3rd) at 11:30EST, Turner Classic Movies is showing 1953's "Paris Model". The film stars Marilyn Maxwell, Paulette Goddard, and Eva Gabor, but also has a brief appearance by El in the "Papa Johnson" (or should that be Yonson??) character.

The above pic is from the VHS copy I have of it so let's hope TCM plays a better quality version!

Hi sir,

First, a heads-up. Our blog is probably not one that will interest you, so tread lightly if you decide to stop by. It's kinda gay.

Your blog is really cool. I would follow you but it could lead to complaints by your visitors who are not ready for "prime-time".

You have a love-affair with vintage. Very cool. Are you aware of the Yahoo groups site called Historical-Pictoral?

They reminisce about the past and share many wonderful photos. It is a discussion and picture group with thousands of members and is quite active. By the looks of your blog, you would be a good addition to the group and they would love your blog.

Think about it. Nice work you are doing here.

Sincerely, Mike

About PARIS MODEL:
Some movies are so bad they're fun.
Then there are some that are so lame you just gotta wonder why they bothered! I really wish I could include PARIS MODEL in the former category.

Still, it was good to see it once and I do thank TCM for showing it.
