Right here is the blog I published last September about the lost 1930 El Brendel feature "The Golden Calf". At that time I had about a dozen-or-so pictures in the entry itself, so while I work on more writings about El (coming soon, I swear!), I'll throw out some more photos from the film that I have in my collection.

Great images. Where did you come across these photographs? Not sure if you mentioned that during your previous post so I'll check it out.
ALL GREAT! Hope you got that article I sent you. I know my email has been funny for you for some reason.
Robby,
I got most of them from a collector out on the West Coast a while back and added to about the half dozen I already had. I think I still may have 4 or 5 left that I haven't posted along with some related memorabilia, so I gues I could have another "Golden Calf" post somewhere down the line! (like after they find a copy in Prague!)
Amy,
Yes, I got the article, THANK YOU VERY MUCH! It is the first full length article I have seen since he was at Paramount doing "You Never Know Women". Who is on the cover of that magazine as now I am going to have to track down a copy! The W&W discs should be out to you by early next week!
Great stuff - I love El in the tub!
I just watched an episode of "Racket Squad" with El in it. Poor El, working with a stiff board like Reed Hadley must have been frustrating.
Stacia,
I can just imagine! I have about 95% of El's known TV appearances and the "Racket Squad" may be around the worst.
My copy actually is coverless :( But it is indeed the February 1932 issue of "Modern Screen" magazine.
It's Joan Crawford:

They came from one collector in California. I also got MANY stills from "Hot For Paris" and "Sunnyside Up".
